m15 R3, buzz noise everytime after making a sound

I got my m15 r3 couple weeks ago and I noticed today that everytime I pause a video/music, even after a notification sound, my alienware makes this buzz noise for about a second, coming from bottom left (where headphone goes in). Is this normal? It does not happen when my headphone is plugged in.

Try reinstalling the sound driver and see if that works.

If that doesn’t work then it’s a speaker issue.

I have the same issue but mine comes from the right speaker. Its not everytime, but very frequent. Did you resolve your issue?

It has to be a speaker issue.

I am having the exact same issue, every time... which makes me so uncomfortable...

same here.

you can remove it by installing an old driver. but this will cut the woofer out of the circuit.

also if you change the sound quality to 192000bit and 24 bit it will reduce the noise.

@daydreamhb @Bunny8 @Calipali,

Its a Speaker issue would if you’re laptop still has the warranty on it, you can call dell and they can replace your speaker assembly.

You know, with the Microsoft default sound driver I could get 32bit 192000Hz and the sound is very crisp.

My laptop is not even a month old. It just sounds after pausing anything. Not during the video. Its annoying

It’s a driver issue or the Alienware audio has the bass or treble too high.

Either that or a bad speaker.

Did he mess any pins?

did he touch the speakers themselves?

Switching to 24bit/192000 worked for me. Before switching -- low, broken, crackling for a half second. After switching -- the slightest little pop, if you listen closely in an otherwise silent space.

Same problem, left speaker. Solved after switching to 24/192000.

With the default driver on my 15 r2 I can get 32 bit 192000hz if that’s good?
