Hi,

I will be presenting the following session at the EMC World Developer Track 2010.

The session contents are still being prepared and if you have suggestions for what you would like to see covered in the session, do let me know by replying to this discussion thread.

Abstract:

"This session discusses some real world usage scenarios of the Atmos storage APIs in Web based applications and mobile devices, such as iPhone. This session also discusses how these applications were built, things that were learned, architecture decisions and code walkthroughs."

I would have really liked to be there for your session and your colleague's sessions on Atmos APIs, but it doesn't look like I will know in time whether to travel to Boston or not this weekend.

Do you have a slide deck around your vision for real-world applications with Atmos Online. We are also working on an iPhone app to complement the Metaconomy Storage Monitor. It would have been great to meet and talk through some of the scenarios.

Appreciate if you can post the deck here. have you tried Atmos Compute also in your samples? In terms of loading VM templates in Compute, which type of ESX images were you able to load?

Demo 2 - Game Content Services by Derrick Lau

Demonstrates video game extension submission and approval using EMC Documentum xCP and Distribution of game extensions using EMC Atmos. xDB is used as a game extension registry.

Demo 1 - EMC xDB Desktop App & Atmos iPad App

Demonstrates a desktop app that syncs files with Atmos which can then be accessed on an iPad directly from Atmos. The desktop app is built on EMC xDB as the embedded database, which is used for local file searching, tagging, categorizing, ....

Demo 3 - Jive SBS + RSA + Atmos

Demonstrates use of Atmos as the storage provide for the Jive community platform. RSA BSAFE (http://developer.emc.com/rsashare) is used for encrypting files stored in Atmos.
