ADS setup
Hi everyone!
I'm new to Avamar. Trying to set up ADS Gen3 demo equipment.
According to the system installation manual for Avamar DataStore Gen3 I need to get "application software customer tarball" and copy it to Avamar. Where can i find it? Certain passwords and passphrases are mentioned in this document as well. For example for root and admin which are defaults I believe, but again I don't know them and I don't know where to find them. Sorry for stupid question.

Hello,
you can extract it from tar.gz file.
otherwise please provide your mail address and I will put it on our FTP server for you ...

Hi Nicholas!
When i go to ftp://avamar_ftp:anonymous@ftp.avamar.com/software/ i see empty folder and only when I point to exact file I can download it. How can I see all of them this "software" folder? Thanks.

Hello DredlinE,
As far as I know with this "avamar_ftp" account you do not have permission to list the content of "software directory structure, so it is really hard to point on this single file - name installation .
The only way is to extract it from the tar.gz file using gzip utility piping to the "rpm2cpio | cpio -idmv"

Hi,
Below is what I get faced with. Note that the firewall is NOT enabled
By clicking the invite from the Avamar MC, I get the message below…
…. And when I choose to activate the client, I get the following message……

I have a problem activating an EMC Avamar client. DNS is working and I
can ping the servers. The other clients are activated. I get the

Good day,
May you please assist with the URL download link for the DPN_Tool.xls
utility for generating graphs, etc from the DPN report. I have checked
powerlink but I can not find it under Support --> Product and diagnostic
tools. Thanks in advance for you help.
