Avamar email notification
Hi,
I have requirements of configuring Avamar to send notification event driven by the backup failures, this should be similar to networker as it should execute specific script passing the client failure log.
The normal profile email notification will not fit my requirements as I need to customize the forwarded failure log by writing the script to parse and re-send an email in specific format to an incident manager in order for the incident to be created automatically.

DPA can be event-driven as well. You can set a monitoring policy that will generate messages upon alert.

Depending on the data you need in the email, Data Protection Advisor can do this for you as well. It can generate emails based on the email failure, that will details from the failure itself, the Avamar Group, etc.

but as per my knowledge DPA is used as a reporting tool, which will run on schedule rather than being triggered by backup failure event!! isn't it?!!
