Backend Capacity Report

Ok so I found the Backend Capacity Report....

but I cannot seem to get it to tell me how much 'each' server is using.

( and yes I know with the dedup it could be the same as some other server is also using.....)

what my management wants to see is how much is each server using on the backend.

they are looking to see of any one server is taking up more than others - say what we are backing up is just not deduping well (making it a candidate for datadomin maybe.

I can get the report to run by picking a domain

comes back and says 10.2 mb

then I pick the groups below the domain - again it says 10.2 mb for all but not for each

so I pick just the servers - and again it says 10.2 mb for all but not for each

so then I go to Just one client and it came back and said 98kb for this one client.

so anybody know who to get this report to run for all clients - give the number for EACH client and not a group - without having to run it for each and ever client separately?

1) We can use DPA to collate the information from protected data (the last row in report represents backend data)

DPA is pretty useless as no one seems to know how to use it correctly and no one is trained on it from EMC. That's unacceptable.

I have recently closed a discussion with EMC.

I was told that "the backup size" column in The chargeback details report has the actual value of backend data of any given client.
