Data Protection Central Active Directory intergration

We've configured the LDAP (AD) integration in DPC and it reports 'success' and '100%' in the Audit log but when we attempt to log in with an AD account it reloads the page a few times and then returns to the login screen of the DPC GUI with no error shown.

We've also found that if we deliberatly get the password wrong it does error with "Invalid username and/or password. Please try again."

Anybody have any ideas please?

In case you haven't resolved the problem yet:

 

In my case, it turns out that nested AD groups don't work. (or maybe I should say it doesn't work yet in Ver 18.2.0, nested AD groups might be working in later versions - maybe Dell EMC already knows this and will, or already have, put in a fix)

We used the default "dp_admin" group, and put a AD user account directly in it, and that worked.  But when we put another security group inside that group, DPC was not able to authenticate users from that nested security group.
