Event Code = 644

Hello All,

I am configuring avamar monitoring, I created custom profile for server events and started with all errors and warning checked. Then I gradually deseleced eventcodes that are not important from the server health point of view. I am getting event code 644 few times a day and I am wondering if it  needs  attention and some troubleshooting. Here is full notification event i am getting:

Event Code = 644

Event Date/Time = 01/09-08:00:32.00000

Event Type = WARNING

Event Severity = PROCESS

Hello,

It seems that LM is not running correctly and so unable to connect to GSAN.

Please check if LM service is running using these commands :

service lm status

ps -eaf | grep lm

Also, check if lmaddr is set correctly to the IP address of the utility node:

avmaint config --ava | grep lmaddr

Thanks the service was stopped, i started it. No idea what is the purpouse of Login Manager. I didnt notice that someting is not working without it running. Any idea where I could find some documentation that is describing this (and other) avamar services?

Login manager is used when external authentication(AD, LDAP) is set up for Avamar. Without login manager, Avamar can only use its internal authentication.
