How can you purge deleted clients from MC_DELETED folder?
Hi!
I just deployed second avamar grid and wanted selectively replicate backups. By mistake I kicked off Full replication. I managed to cancel it. The I delete REPLICATE folder.
Now, when I try to do replication it fails on creating machine (replicate.log) as it still exists in MC_DELETED folder.
2010/09/09-11:54:13 /REPLICATE/ads-utility-01/xxx/compname.com
2010/09/09-11:54:13 avmgr Error <0000>: Location ref{7b0b38c91ba0e0446de278901e7f069aa398c314} exists as "/MC_DELETED/compname.com2010.09.08.14.49.02", but does not match to "/REPLICATE/ads-utility-01/xxx/compname.com.local"
2010/09/09-11:54:13 0 ERROR! Exit code 74: Account not found in the Avamar database
2010/09/09-11:54:13 *** Done replicate of changed accounts *** (res=1)
So how can you clean this MC_DELETED folder?
Alternatively I could purge whole datastore as there are no useful backups.
Thanks.
Amol

All the clients are associated with CID, whenever a client is deleted it moves the client to /MC_DELETED , you cannot delete that client. You can fix this problem by running the below command on your target grid
Edit by Moderator: Potentially dangerous command removed
Once the above command is executed, stop and star the MCS using below command
dpnctl stop mcs
dpnctl start mcs
Once the MCS is up, rerun you replication
