How to globally exclude .vmdk and .iso files from backup
Avamar backup exclude page files by default. Is there a way to setup an exclusion with a list of file extensions like .vmdk, .vhd, .iso from all backup?
I create a data set and enter the following lines in the Exclusions tab assuming it will include all subfolders but it does not work.
These files under subfolders still being backed up.
Source Data:
E:/
Exclusions:
E:/*.ova
E:/*.iso
E:/*.vmdk
E:/*.cab

Hello,
To exclude files from all subfolders, please specify the exclusions using **
For example, E:/**.ova

Just tried your syntax and it worked. Thank you.
Is there a way to configured exclusion globally so I don't have to do it in very dataset?
