On-demand backups failed after upgrade to 6.1.100-402

Anyone have this issue after upgrading both server and clients from 6.0.101-66 to 6.1.100-402?

My users were able to do an on-demand backup when the server and clients were on 6.0.101-66.

But now I get an error message saying On-demand backups are disabled.  This client is automatically backed

up based on group policy.

This issue has been going on for 2 weeks and EMC Support haven't been able to fix it.

The settings on the client side Allow client initiated backup is checked.

The dtlt.properties looks like this:

#userSelectableBackupTime=false

allowUserSelectableDataset=all

#userSelectableDatasetLimit=100

#allowServerRestores=true

#limitRestoreSize=-1

#disallowMultipleRestores=true

#restrictBackupsPerDay=-1

#allowLocalUsers=false

Any ideas on how to get this feature working again?

if you go to tools and then to plug-ins there is an option disable all client initiated backups... check there... other think you can test is go to policy and then hit clients... and check an pecific client in the dataset option... i think there is an option to enable and disable this task too

OscarG,

Thank you so much for your help.  I went to Tools, Manage Agents & Plug-ins, and Enable All Client Initiated Backups.

I don't know why this feature was disable after the upgrade.  I had 2 EMC Support Engineers working on this issue for 3 weeks without any resolutions.  Well it is fixed now.  Thank you.
