Restore Windows client files from Avamar into Isilon, is this possible?
When I try to restore files to Isilon from a Windows client backup I get no restore plugin or the EMC Isilon via NDMP is greyed out.
The Restore Destination Client I select "wpsdrive.usd259.net" is our Isilon smart connect name.
What am I doing wrong?

I have little info on this, just talking with a few guys. You can't use the isilon/ndmp plugin in Avamar. You have to create a share on your isilon then share that with a windows server, then you restore to that windows server path to islon share.
Its a little confusing but thats the only way.

you can only restore a NDMP backup to an NDMP - and a NDMP backup can ONLY be restored to a NDMP....
in other words.....the shields are up and you are not allowed to cross the Neutral Zone.
you will have to restore via a mount as previously suggested.
