ddr-vm-segmentation-mode?
Hi all, I'm curious if someone can point me to docs on what the value ddr-vm-segmentation-mode sets, and how it might be changed? We have an Avamar install that was handled by EMC pro services and I'm finding on their Linux VM all disks policy, that variable has a value of 8. The fact that it displays in black, but the 8 in red, I believe means they altered some normal GUI setting to achieve this, rather than setting it as a custom variable, but I haven't been able to change any settings that produce that value.
I can insert it as a custom value, but have no idea what it means or if I actually want it. :-)

Yikes thanks, very informative. We have 1000+ VM's, so it sounds like for optimal dedupe and performance reasons, I need to add the extra policy as described in that document and slow roll 0.5% of our VM's in each day for the better part of the next year lol.
