All the nodes in an Avamar server and any associated Data Domain systems must be synchronized to a stable NTP time source. This message can appear if the time differs between the nodes.
We often see this in environments where the Avamar server is configured to sync time from a Windows Domain Controller -- Domain Controllers use "Simple NTP" which does not have fine enough resolution to use as a time source for Avamar. If you don't have access to a reliable local NTP server, most enterprise routers offer a very reliable time service.
