snmp traps of each Backup task

Hi,

Is there a way to configure Avamar to notify via snmp the status of each Backup task? For example, I would like to get alerted when a Backup task is complete (or) Cancelled (or) Failed, irrespective of event code.

I configured net-snmp agent in Avamar, created a Custom Profile with SNMP trap notification enabled, tested and confirmed the trap works. However I am not getting traps for any of the Backup tasks. What changes are required to enable this?

We are using EMC SMARTS as the SNMP collector and Monitoring Tool. Thanks.

Finally, got some trap alerts. I initiated a backup and failed them by killing the session id from Avamar node. The error code for the failure was 10007 which was not listed in custom event profile.

In this case all traps from Avamar were collected by our monitoring tool and reported as Event "SNMP Trap Catchall". The event text reported was not much informative that the backup task failed.. What steps should be followed to change the trap more informative?

i'm trying to do the same, can anyone explain how to make backup failed snmp traps include details as to why the backup failed or attach the log?
