CX300 Navisphere Can't See Arrays
I've recently started at a company with a CX300 that hasn't been touched in at least a year. I can connect to the SP's and bring up Navisphere but I can't see any of the arrays. The "Enterprise Storage" window shows under the "Storage" tab "Local Domain [127.0.0.1; Logged In]" but nothing else. If I check the Domain Status I see that "System: 127.0.0.1" has Platform Type "Off-Array" even though I'm connected to the SP.
Regardless of whether I connect to SP A or SP B I have problems. The array is in use, but with Navisphere in this state I have no control.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've spent at least 4-6 hours trying everything possible but with no success.

In your post did you specifically change the IP address in the post to hide your own address range, or is that the actual IP that shows up? If it is real, it definately looks like you are running the off array Manager and not connecting to the array at all. If you want to certain, disconnect the network connections from your CX300 and try it again. I bet you still get the GUI.
OK, I'm only kidding (half) about disconnecting it from the network. If this were in my shop I would do this as a troubleshooting step, but with an approved change ticket. The network only provides management functionality (or in your case not so much), so it should create major problems, but you should cover all your bases.

1) You need to know the IP-addresses of spA/B. Open URL: "http://ip-address-of-SPa/setup".
Do NOT change anything on that page. This is pure html without Java. If this page opens you should be able to see name and ip-address and gateway etc. from spA.
a) If successful, open URL:"http://ip-address-SPa". If that page does not open or does not bring you to a login, then there is either no "Navisphere Manager" installed on the CX300 or the managementserver needs to be restarted. If restarting the managementserver is not successful (wait 5 minutes before re-connecting) then either your management-workstation needs to be checked (firewall, JRE1.4.2.11, MS-IE5+)
or
you need to find a way how to lead the off-array-management-server to the correct IP-address of spA or spB.
b) If 1) is not successful, check ethernet- and IP-connectivity and firewall-/ proxysettings to the SPs.
Please have a look at the "Navisphere Manager Admin Guide".

c:\program files\emc\navicli\navicli -h ndu -list
you should be able to see navisphere base and navisphere ui installed in the list. post output here if unsure.
if the machin you are using was setup for off-array management, chances are that navicli is installed on it (c:\program files\emc\navicli), if so, you may just try to issue "c:\program files\emc\navicli\navicli getagent" and see if sp information comes up.
