CX4 install disk firmware offline
I am trying to upgrade the firmware on the last 30 disks SATA II Clar1000 TLA5048829, SEA_005048829_300J_1535ODFU-01.01.1.001-fleet64_free.ndu.
When I go into engineering mode and select install Disk Firmware Offline it is asking for a SEA_005048829_300J_1535ODFU-01.01.1.001-fleet64_free.fdf
how do I get the *.fdf file when all that can be downloaded is *.ndu

the disk firmware is available to service partners and EMC support. You should contact your local EMC office to get the file.

You can bash EMC, if you like, but it's no different with other enterprise storage providers. Ever tried to get firmware for a drive from a Shark?
