CX500 UtilityPartition-02.26.500.5.001.ndu
Once this sw is installed on the array how is it used. Cant seem to find how it is to be used, the file came with flare 26.
It was not installed at the time of the flare update and I am confused about that, I installed it yesterday using usm but it would not let me do drive firmware it downloaded the drive fw.
I was thinking that usm is not suppose to work on flare 26, but it said it installed utilitypartition ok. Do I need to reboot spa spb or restart management array/setup?

no, you don't need to do anything. The utility partition is used to resolve certain issues and EMC has to be involved. For example, if one Storage Processor no longer boots due to a corrupted boot image. The CE can break out of the POST on thaqt SP and boot the Utility Partition. which will present you with a menu.
One of the options is to re-image that SP (boot image).
