Call home Template EMC vs Call home Template customer
Hello everybody,
I need your help. I have questions:
1.- What is the deferences using Call home Template EMC and using call home created by yourself?
2.- What version of call home EMC is using with the new storage CX4 with flare 30 in Distributed Monitor Notification?

Hello Jose,
1. The EMC call home template is the preferrable template to be applied for array event notification to EMC. All the appropriate event codes, error messages, etc. are checked off and pre-defined in the EMC call home template. Using a custom call home template is not advised since major event codes and error messages may not be enabled properly or missed, thus not being forwarded to EMC for further investigation. Another advantage of using the EMC call home template functionality is the heartbeat event monitoring. Every 7 days, SP A will generate a heartbeat event and the notification will be sent to EMC via the template. If EMC does not receive the heartbeat event within 7 days, a service request will be automatically generated by EMC for investigation into the call home setup.
2. For distributed monitoring in a FLARE 30 environment, the current version of the template is v7.30.3.
