Data replication between AX4 and CX4 over iSCSI

Hi All,

Is it possible to réplicate data from an AX4-5 to CX-4.

I have one server connected on AX4 as DAS, and i wanted to replicate all the volumes on CX4-960. The CX4-960 storage system is within a domain and replicate some Luns to CX4-480 always in the same domain.

If possible, can i have some pre requisites and advices !?

Hello

To replicate data between AX4-5I and CX4-960 by using iSCSI you should use SANCopy.

MV isn't supported on AX4-5I

OK.

As part of the replication, for a SAN Copy session, do i need to group the two storage systems within a storage domain, where i absolutely have a master ?

I am asking this question because what i have is a storage domain (primary CX4-960 and secondary CX4-480). I replicate Data from CX4-960 to CX4-480 over iSCSI. And I wanted to have another configuration with the AX4-5 and CX4-960 where i replication data from AX4-5 to CX4-960. And After from CX-960 to CX-480.

Do i really need SAN Copy to perform efficiently what i would achive ? Otherwise i will adopt another approach ?

thanks for you reply,

You dont need to have the two storage systems in the same domain to be able to use SAN Copy.
