Dell PowerEdge 1950 + Emulex LP9002L-E + CX500
Hi,
Has anyone out there tried installing a Emulex LP9002L-E HBA into a Dell PowerEdge 1950 and then connected it to a CX-series array? If so, were you successful?
I'm inquiring because I've been instructed to connect our Dell PowerEdge 1950 server to our CX500. The only HBA I have available to me at this time is an Emulex LP9002L-E. According to the "EMC Support Matrix" document this HBA is certified to work with many Dell servers such as Dell PowerEdge 1750 and Dell PowerEdge 1850... but unfortunately the Dell PowerEdge 1950 is NOT listed. Darn it!
This is only a development env, so I'm considering trying it anyway, any advice or words of wisdom from anyone?

Symmetrix and Clariion listed as supported arrays.
