EMC CX300 Fibre channel port disabled
Hello Emc Community,
I meet a big problem on our old CX300. I need to move the datas to an anthoer SAS.
The LED on FC are not lighted, the network management card work perfectly, the navisphere write that the SP B:Port 0 or 1 is disabled and the SFP state is not applicable.
Information about each SPPORT:
SP Name: SP B
SP Port ID: 1
SP UID: 50:06:01:60:B0:23:23:A9:50:06:01:69:30:23:23:A9
Link Status: Down
Port Status: DISABLED
Switch Present: NO
SP Name: SP B
SP Port ID: 0
SP UID: 50:06:01:60:B0:23:23:A9:50:06:01:68:30:23:23:A9
Link Status: Down
Port Status: DISABLED
Switch Present: NO
It is directly attached to an old dell bladecenter fibrechannel attachement.
I bought a new SP DPE box to replace the one in fault, but nothing changed after replacement.
I still have access to the management navisphere and naviseccli access to my SPB without any other problem recorded.
I
certainly did not look for the solution everywhere but I have spend time for long days and expect to solve this problem.
best regards,
Olivier.

Hi,
Execute the command from CLI and check if you see any other faults on the Array.
navicli -h faults -list
Also refer the similar thread, which is discussed on the similar issue.

Hi,
thank you for your quick answer. I already read the post you link, this is what I followed to diagnose and replace the broken part (I thought).
The command on both SP returns "The array is operating normally."
Glen in the thread linked above told about a way to restart the LED but said a request on EMC was necessary, my CX300 is outdated and datas need to move to my new SAN. Could you send me by e-mail the method or may I contact him?

thanks a lot for your help

Ok thank you for your help, don't spent too much time on my issue, I found a way.
I just plugged it to an esx with FC free and not used, and the light went on, smashing! I don't find why but it is a solution.
Datas were moved to new SAN and EMC was powered off.
