FC4700 (I know...but I still have two of them) - max drive count?

I realize this forum is mainly for CX series, however, there is not one for FC4700s. I wonder why? (sarcasm implied)

I have just started a new job and walked into this environment that is still using FC4700s. One in production (but not for long) and one for QA/Dev. I have been recommending that we decommission these two pretty much since I've been here, but they are adamant about keeping them for QA/Dev.

At any rate, the question I have is what is the max drive count for a FC4700?

That would be 120 drives. With that you could hit about 13,000 random (read) disk IOPS - or up to about 4000 write IOPS if small block. Blazing! :-)

Fantastic! I really appreciate that. I know it was an odd-ball question for unsupported hardware. But, unfortunately, I had to know!
