How to open nar file on Unisphere

Hi All,

I would like to open nar file for performance analyze, so I installed  Unisphere Server & Client.

But I cannot find the point to open it.

Thank you for any input.

Click on the word “Monitoring” where you see “Unisphere – 127.0.0.1 > Monitoring > Event Notification > Configure”. You should see options for “Open Archive” and other things.

1. Run the Unisphere Server.
2. Run the Unisphere Client.
3. In the client, log in to localhost (127.0.0.1)
4. From the dashboard view, click the Unisphere Server.
5. Hover your cursor over Monitoring and Click Analyzer.
6. In 'Archive Management', click 'Open Archive'
7. Select the nar file.
Then you can choose the view you like to see

Hi,

I have installed unisphere server 1.0.51.1.0042-1 & unisphere client 1.0.51.1.0042-1.

And then I can login the server via the client.

I cannot see monitoring\Analyzer menu.

Does any analyzer provider need to install?

Thank you for the input.

You have to click the Unisphere Server (127.0.0.1) from the dashboard view. Then you will see the 'Monitoring' menu.

See Solution emc255033 - when you get to page 7 - select the 127.0.0.1 in the drop down

Just wanted to highlight a great walk-through that could be helpful for someone maybe analyzing the output for the first time.  Below is the link to the beginning of the series and is a work-in-progress.  It currently ends with FASTCache Analysis, and throughout also demonstrates how to take exported data and turn them into friendly graphs via Excel.

After Installing Unisphere Server/Off Array Manager you must have initialized Security file and created username and the password you need to enter that! If not and you forgot it and not managing any other storage system, try uninstall/install it will prompt you. (One of the easiest way)
