Migrating Private Lun

Hi Team,

We have couple of Meta Luns and their component luns shows as private as designed. We want to migrate the Private luns to the new raid groups so that we free up the old Raid groups. Are there any issues doing this and is these migration of the private luns are same as any other lun migration and do not impact metalun characterstics.

As dynamox, correctly mentioned,

You can’t migrate component LUNs, need to move the whole MetaLUN

You may refer EMC CLARiiON MetaLUNs - Whitepaper for detailed explanation on metaLUNs and how it works!
