Open replicator throughput and redudancy path

Hello all...

We are planning to migrate data from 1 DMX box and 1 CX-700 (in one DC) to a VMAX (another DC) using Open Replicator Hot Pull over WAN using FCIP

The SAN connectivity is as below

DMX

7D0 in DMX to 1F1 in VMAX (through WAN router A)

10D0 in DMX and 2F1 in VMAX (through WAN router B)

Clariion

SPA8 in Clariion to 1F1 in VMAX (through WAN router A)

SPB8 in Clariion to 2F1 in VMAC (through WAN router B)

So if one of the WAN link goes down during the actual migration, will it stop the overall migration or WILL JUST the speed of transfer go down.

We are not planning to use DONOR_UPDATE as all the apps and DB's are shutdown during the downtime window and the servers will be physically transported to the DC and there are no plans for bringing up the apps here until the migration is over.

While I understand that from DMX to VMAX this might not be a problem, does anyone have any idea about Clariion? Will a LUN trespass or SP failure or WAN link failure i.e one path connectivity loss cause the replication to fail or will just reduce the throughput?

We can afford a low throughput but would like to ensure that it restarts from checkpoint rather than begin from scratch in case of Clariion

Thanks

Balaji
