Powerpath only shows 1 adaptor
Not sure if this is the correct forum but...
I have a CX3 with 10 hosts connected to it. The array has been up and running for 2 years. Yesterday, I was adding a host and everything went fine. I installed PowerPath, Navisphere host agent, Updated my HBA drivers, zoned the switches and added my storage. It is all working fine. Today, I opened PowerPath and noticed I only had 1 adaptor listed. I don’t remember if it was there yesterday but it is not there today. If I look under connectivity status in Navisphere all of the WWNs are listed, logged in and registered. This is happening on all 4 servers I just connected to the array yesterday.
Can anyone tell me why PP only shows one adaptor?

quick, quick, click the reconnect button
When you first install a new host, in Connectivity Status the icon color with be BLUE - this means that the HBA is logged in and Registered but not yet assigned to a Storage Group - in this state the HBA's are assigned to the ~Management storage group - a holding place until you add the host to a Storage Group - when you do, the icon will turn GREEN. Sometimes the HBA does not get added correctly - like when you replace an HBA.
After you click the reconnect, the HBA's show show up in the correct SG - you'll have to rescan from the host

what does a powermt display dev=all show you?
do you hvae 4 paths in that display? if so, it might just be a graphical error.

You can check the license by going to Start>EMC>Powerpath>License tool or something like that.
It will be listed in that box

Each host has 4 connections A-5, A-4, B-5, and B-4.

Did you enter the PowerPath license? With out the license key you only get support for one HBA.

Have you verified that you have the failover proberties set correctly for you configuration?
EMC KB article emc99467 contains all of the setting by OS type.

ok so PP is only showing one HBA and it is not a graphic issue. What type of HBA is it? Qlogic? what does SanSurfer show?

The command i mentioned about is done on the host that powerpath is installed on. navigate to the installed directory and run that command. maybe you can copy and paste the results here

When you look at connectivity status, how many initialtor records are you seeing for those 4 hosts?
Dual port HBA or 2 single port hba's?

I did enter the license. Is there a way I can check that I did it correctly?

Welcom to the fun kelleg.
Yes I have rebooted the hosts. This is an HP BL380 G6 running Windows 2008 server R2. I have tried to reinstall PP and had the same result.
