Presenting storage to host

I have 487GB of unallocated space that I need to present to an existing D: drive that is currently (536GB) with 4% free. Since this is an existing partition how would I accomplish this? Thank you in advance.

if you are using basic disk, you would create a concatenated meta and then use diskpart the extend the partition.

I extended the storage by creating a new lun in a new RG and migrate the data, this has worked fine. On the host side I do see the extended data as unallocated. (Didn't use metaluns). I am thinking now I should use diskpart, list volume, select volume# and type extend. Do you agree? Thank you.
