Question about snapshots

What is the definition of a point in time snap shot?  here's the reason for my question, I have activated a snap shot from server A to server B.  Server A is going to be taken down for an database upgrade, what happens to the snap shot on server B?  The snap shot will be de-activated before the upgrade is started.  Will the changes cause for more disk space from the lun pool?

when you deactivate snapshot it becomes un-available to server B, if there were any writes made by server B to the snapshot ..they will be discarded. Now the session is still "started" though ..so any changes made to server A LUNs that are part of the running sessions will be saved in RLP.

The snapshot on server B will not be affected even after server A goes down. You don't need to deactivate the snapshot.
After the database upgrade if you want to have the upgraded snapshot to be available on Server B, just release the session and create it again. Then you will get the latest point in time snap shot availabe on Server B. This process will not take more disk space.
