San Copy issue on CX3-20c
Hi all,
We have a issue on san copy. The sessions have failed and the details are given as:
The Session failed because either the source or all destinations have failed. Check the device that failed and the path to it. For a device on a remote storage array, verify the zoning and ensure that it is in the correct storage group.
We have been using the same configurations for tha last 8 months. We have these issues in the last week. Can any one help me out?

did source or target LUN trespass ?

Can you also tell me if the tresspassing of the luns effect san copy?

They are not tresspassed. Is the issue related to tresspassing of the luns??

should not if zoning is done properly and each SP can talk to SPA/SPB on the target array.

We are using incremental san copy and there is available cache LUN's.

You only need the RLP if you are doing incremental SANCopy and that's why I asked about it

Hello ravitejak,
Take a look to the Reserved LUN Pool on the array.
Make sure there are available cache LUNs.

In Navisphere, go to Click on Tools, SANCopy, Connection Summary. Do you see the initiators as logged in and registered?

Hi Ernes,
I can see some initiators are not logged in but all of them are registered. How can I log them in?

are you looking on target array and you see initiators from source array not logged-in ? On source array go into SAN Copy > Update Connections

In addition to what dynamox said double-check the zone(s) that you created for SANCopy. Make sure that the WWPN's are logged in and that the zone contains those WWPN's.

Hi,
Please verify the initiators again, If you are using mirror view initiators for SAN copy, it will get failed.. check in source array - san copy connection and make sure all are registered and logged in
