UNIX TRU64: "disklabel: cannot determine disk type"!!!

I have used Unix Tru64 v.5.1b.
I created MetaLUNs (first: LUNs of RAID5 group, second: LUNs of RAID10 group) on CLARiiON CX3-80 and put into the Storge Group of Unix Tru64 Server.
I tried "hwmgr scan scsi" and "disklabel -rw".
The "disklabel -rw" on the disk of first MetaLUN was ran successfully.
The second MetaLUN:
# disklabel -rw dsk10
disklabel: cannot determine disk type.
The "Host Connectivity Guide for Tru64 UNIX" recommended in the field "disk type" putting "default".
Unsuccessfully:
# disklabel -rw dsk10 default
disklabel: default: unknown disk type.
What problem is it?
What disk type putting?

Examine the disk label of the disk that worked. For example:

disklabel -r dsk5

Use the disk type that you find there. It may be DGC which stands for Data General Corporation. If this does not work, then please log a support call.

this problem usually appears on solaris when luns are meta'ed.
this is because creating meta on array does not update geometry information on the first LUN.

is there any data on this disk (was probably assigned to other server and then removed from it)?

try to unbind the lun otherwise and recreate the meta.
