Unable to login to CX400
I have an older CX400 array that I wanted to use but when I try to access Navisphere manager I either get Java errors or a gray screen depending on what browser I use. With IE I get a class not found error indicating it can't find "com.emc.navisphere.gui.jnfx.jnfxmain.class" Java version is 1.7.0_67 Navisphere version 6.4.0.5.2 I'm not sure what version FLARE it has. With Firefox 32, all I get is a gray screen with no java errors. Anyone seen this before and or know how to fix this?

I had to use Windows 2000 with IE 5 and Java 1.4.1_02 in order to be able to login to the CX400. Definitely not an ideal solution. Anyone know how to get a more modern OS to work with the CX400?

The CX400 is end-of-life and there will be no new code updates. At the time that flare was frozen, the current state-of-art was Windows IE8 and Java 1.5.

XP, IE8 and Java 1.5?
What was the last version of FLARE for these?
Does any of the modern management tools work with the CX400? Unisphere maybe?

The last version of flare for the CX400 is 02.19.400.5.045. This was released on 2007-09-07.

Is that version still available for download?
Thanks.

Old Java versions are archived on the web - it takes some time to find it on the java site as it always wants to direct you to the newest version, but it is there. I'm pretty sure that the the CX400 will work with Java 1.6.30.

I've been able to get fresh Java and the latest FF or IE to work with the real old flare code but you got to set both as trusted in the browser AND in Java config as trusted sites. Seems to work for me anyways on brand new W2K8R2 servers patches current in every way.
