EMC Unisphere Host Agent is supported with Oracle Solaris 11. I have tested it in virtual environment.
***************************************************************************************************************************
Paths to download Unisphere/Navisphere Host Agent from Powerlink
For Unisphere host agent:
Home > Support > Software Downloads and Licensing > Downloads T-Z > Unisphere Server Software
For Navisphere host agent:
Home > Support > Software Downloads and Licensing > Downloads J-O > Navisphere Server Software
Installing Unisphere/Navisphere Host Agent for Solaris:
Installation of Unisphere Host Agent and Navisphere Host Agent on Solaris 11 is same.
Following is the procedure to install Unisphere Host Agent on Solaris 11. It is implemented on Oracle Solaris 11.1 X86 - Virtual Machine.
Virtual Machine Operating System details: Oracle Solaris 11.1 X86
Steps to install:
1) Make sure that each storage system is connected to Solaris server where you are installing Unisphere Host Agent.
2) If your server is behind a firewall, open TCP/IP port 6389. (This port is used by the host agent. If this port is not opened, the host agent will not function properly.)
3) At the Solaris server, log in as superuser (root).
4) If any previous revision of Host Agent is installed on the server, remove it before continuing; otherwise continue to the next step.
Note: In this scenario, Unisphere Host Agent package HostAgent-Solaris-32-x64-en_US-1.0.55.1.0044-1.pkg is placed under /software directory on Solaris 11 virtual machine.
5) In a shell, enter the following commands:
=============================================================
root@solaris:~# cd /software (To change the current working directory to /software as I have placed the host agent package under this directory).
root@solaris:/software# ls -ltr (To list the contents of /software directory).

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 22982656 Dec 1 08:41 HostAgent-Solaris-32-x64-en_US-1.0.55.1.0044-1.pkg
(Below command is the main command which will install Host Agent on the Solaris 11 host)
root@solaris:/software# pkgadd -d ./HostAgent-Solaris-32-x64-en_US-1.0.55.1.0044-1.pkg

***************************************************************************************************************************
Note: Please make sure that there is correct entry of your Server's hostname and IP address in hosts file. Also add CLARiiON SP's IP address entries in hosts file.
Example:
Suppose your server's hostname is Solaris11 and IP address is 192.168.10.15.
IP addresses of SP-A and SP-B are 192.168.10.17 and 192.168.10.18 respectively.
Hostnames of SP-A and SP-B are CLARiiON_SP-A and CLARiiON_SP-B respectively.
Then the hosts file entry should look like:
--------------------------------------------------
192.168.10.15 Solaris11
192.168.10.17 CLARiiON_SP-A
192.168.10.18 CLARiiON_SP-B
--------------------------------------------------

Hi wipmanib,
Oracle Solaris 11 x86 and SPARC operating systems are listed as supported in Elab.
Kindly refer page no: 57 & 58 of the latest “Unisphere host agent/CLI release notes” for more information regarding installing Unisphere host agent.

Hi wipmanib,
Sorry for that, I missed something, please ignore my last update. Can you update the Storage system model and the Operating environment you are using?

Is there an IPS package now available for Solaris 11.3 ?
Packages of the *.pkg type are designed for Solaris 10. Though pkgadd functionality is retained in s11, I'd prefer to leverage the native packaging system.

Hi man please can you help me... First thanks for your help, but nowadays (2020) I have problems with the command "pkgadd -d ./HostAgent-Solaris-32-x64-en_US-1.0.55.1.0044-1.pkg". When I put the command the answer from the server it is:
pkgadd: ERROR: attempt to process datastream failed
- open of <./HostAgent-Solaris-32-x64-en_US-1.0.55.1.0044-1.pkg> failed, errno=2
pkgadd: ERROR: could not process datastream from <./HostAgent-Solaris-32-x64-en_US-1.0.55.1.0044-1.pkg>
Do you know why happen this... I need to add a new server in the storage and I need this... It is very important for me...
Beforehand thank you!

Hello Hector-Chile,
Which EMC storage system do you have as u didn’t state it in your post? Have you tried to reboot your host and put it in maintenance mode then try to add it?
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
