What's the PCIe version supported by CLARiiON CX4/CX3
Hi all,
I/O Module is a peripheral device in terms of computer system architecture. So It should be using PCIe (Intel x86) bus as a communication channel with CPU/RAM. My I know what's the PCIe version supported by CLARiiON CX4/CX3?
thanks

Hi,
In CLARiiON CX4, the PCI Express channel supported are x4, x8 (versions 1.1, 2.0).
Below is the link for Ultraflex technology document, I would suggest you download that for more details on IO modules.

Hi,
CLARiiON CX4 uses x64 bit FLARE OS and CX3 uses x86 bit FLARE OS.
I see CX4 uses PCIe Intel x86.
Ensure that network adapters are connected to fast (>66 MHz) and wide (64-bit) PCI, PCI-X, and four-lane (x4) or greater PCI Express (PCIe) 1.1 or 2.0 host buses. In all cases, the host I/O bus bandwidth needs to be greater than the summed maximum bandwidth of the network adapters to avoid a bottleneck.
You may refer below document for more information, Page 29
