ax4-5 with none qlogic HBA

All the EMC guides assume that the HBA's are qlogic (running sansurfer).

I have configured my iscsi HBA with an ip address (using its own config utility), but I don't see the next step to take, when trying to link it up to the EMC powerpath software.

If I had read up on iscsi a little bit more I would have had no need to ask the question.

All the configuring was done within iscsi initiator

On Powerlink look for the Host Connectivity Guide for Windows, there is a section specifically for iSCSI with step-by-step instructions for setting up the iSCSI initiator on a Windows server. After you get correct connectivity to the array, then install PowerPath - remember that if you us unlicensed PowerPath, you can only have a single NIC to two ports on the array.
