newbie question on emc cx3

Hi All,

I'm a brand new member and have a couple of basic questions.

Can you all give me some basic pointers about managing my emc cx3 model 20 clariion san?

Should I use Navisphere and Celerra on my Windows 7 workstation, and what are each basically used for? Where can I find these to download?

Thanks a lot!

CX3-20 is a SAN device and can be managed via Navisphere manager (by entering the storage processor IP address in web browser). If you have celerra components attached with the SAN, you can access this via Unisphere manager/Celerra manager by pointing the IP of the control station.

Thanks for the info Vipin V.K. !!! So if I need to carve out new space say 2tb for a backup repository and create my Luns, do I use navisphere or unisphere? Thanks for your help!

If you know the IP address of the SP and the login credentials, you may try accessing the Navisphere Manager by entering http://SP_IP_address/ in the browser.
