AD Synchronization issues?

So we migrated our older NS40 living on a CX3-80 over to a Unified VNX7500 a few months ago. As part of this process we used Celerra Replicator and preserved the namespace of our CIFS Server which holds our User Home directory.

After this merge we have been having issues during our creation of new user home directories and profiles. We get an error listed below. However if we wait 15-20 minutes to create the folder we do not get the error message.

"The home folder could not be created because:The security ID structure is invalid."

Any insights? It appears to be an AD synchronization issue to me. I am wondering if there is any way I can re-synch the CIFS server. I had thought about un-joining the domain and re-joining the domain but really don't want to have to do that.
