Can a CIFS share span multiple Filesystems

I have to migrate a windows SMB share that is 4.5TB to CIFS, and ideally would like to use filesystems smaller than 4.5TB. Is it possibe for a CIFS share to span multiple filesystems, and if so how can this be achieved.

For example, if the four directories immediately benneath the share only required 1TB each, could more manageable 1TB filesystems be targeted at the share..??

NMFS or DFS root or symbolic links would work there provided its in different directories

The simplest solution would be to use a NMFS (nested mount file system)

Basically you create a NMFS root like /data and can then mount component file systems like /data/data1 /data/data2 and exporting them all under one share pointing at /data

See the Release 7.0Managing Volumes and File Systems on VNX™ Manually on Powerlink for more details
