Celerra qouta: Copied data doesn't count toward quota
I have an issue with NAS quota . I have users share \\cifs1\users maps to physical folder \\cifs1\c$\fs1\users , where "fs1" is physical file system. I have user quota enabled on file system "fs1" of 20GB. I have three users user1, user2, user3.
I did migrate three users' data { 5GB for user1 , 15GB for user2 , 12 GB for user3} to \\cifs1\users\user1 , \\cifs1\users\user2 , \\cifs1\users\user3 respectivly.
When three users log in , their login scipt maps (H drive) as below respectively:
user1 --> \\cifs1\users\user1 --> Location on file system : \\cifs1\c$\fs1\users\user1
user2 --> \\cifs1\users\user2 --> Location on file system : \\cifs1\c$\fs1\users\user2
user3 --> \\cifs1\users\user3 --> Location on file system : \\cifs1\c$\fs1\users\user3
The issue I am having is that each user see "H:\ drive" as being 20GB free after migrating there data in, they can still see all of their files and open them.
The issue I am having is that their files are there but don't count toward their quota. The have modify NTFS permission over their respective folders.
We are at latest DART release 6.x.
Any feed much appreciated.

One more note: I have 7 file systems with 1000-1500 users per file system. Creating one quota entry per user may cause performance issues.

Did you checked that the users are the owners of those files?
You could also use the "nas_quotas" command from CLI to list/recalculate quotas
