EMCOPY

Can someone tell me how to start ? I need to migrate 2.4 TB NAS from an old ns600 to a new NS120, All CIFS and includes VDMs,

I would start with the EMC Utilities manual from Powerlink and the EMCcopy readme

also make sure you get a recent emcopy - like version 4.0.2 from the 5.6.47 Tools&Apps CD (Powerlink)

Hi!

If you have the IP Replicator license, you may also want to investigate using that for the migration...

kelvin  I would love to however the NAS codes cannot be upgraded to the same 5.6 as necessary for replicator since the current box is an NS600g

Actually, it can be.  A RPQ can be submitted to allow the upgrade to 5.6 on the source box ONLY FOR the purpose of migrating.  No continuing production will be supported on a NSX00 series running 5.6.  Contact your local team and request this.
