How to setup iSCSI on celera NAS?
Our Celerra is configured as CIFS file server, now we would like to make use of iSCSI with the existing setup.
1) Will there be any impact to the existing setup?
2) What are the harware requirement?
3) Can i connect multiple servers to iSCSI on NAS?

if you are Talking Celerra ISCSI (Not Clariion) then you can just configure if you have the license
no extra hardware necessary - it uses the existing Ethernet ports on the blade / data mover
yes you can connect multiple ISCSI clients

There are special Hardware HBAs for iSCSI avialable like the one you are mentioning.
But most server OS (f.e. MS Windows, Linux) do support so called Software Initiators, which use a "normal" NIC card/port of the server.
This software initiators are frre of charge ...

Thanks 'Rainer_EMC',
I'm confused, could you explain me why there is special 'iSCSI' HBA adapters for?
See the link below.

- Is multi-path possible?
- If yes, what is the software to use?

the advantage of a special ISCSI NIC is that if does some of the ISCSI on the card CPU and offloads the main CPU
also some functionality like diskless boot from ISCSI
if you have a fast client and aren't hitting CPU problems there then you should be fine with a normal NIC and software ISCSI initiator
