Performance issue with one of the CIFS Servers
We have a NS80. We have about 9 Cifs Servers, all are dedicated as file windows file servers. They are all the same except for names and IP address.
We have 1 that we get the users complaining about slowness. We can't seem to find anything wrong. I have tested it out.
Saved a doc to a cif that is not having a issue, saves fine. Do the same with the other and it takes a good 2 minutes to save, where it should only take 10 - 15 seconds.

Are they connected to different IP networks (maybe all GBit Eth, but the one with performance issues only Fast Eth?)
Are they in different domains / AD trees with different domain controllers?

Same Layout
Same Domain
Same IP Subnet
Same Hard Drive
That is why this makes no sense to me.

Execute "server_netstat server_X -s" on the datamover. Look for data packets retransmitted.
You aren't saving the same document from the good and bad client to the same place are you? The clients aren't sharing the file you're testing with are they?
Collect a network trace using Wireshark off the good client while saving the file. Collect a network trace off the bad client while saving the file. Compare the 2 traces.
If you aren't comfortable with Wireshark and network traces, contact your area NSPEED representative.
