Varonis and VNX VG8 CEPP Configurations
We are using Varonis 7.5, 8.7 EMC CEE, and VNX VG8 Dart 7.1.83-2.
The Varonis Team installed CEE on there 2016 Server and I’ve created the CEPP.conf file. The CEPP service started with no errors, however the CEE server is not receiving any audit/data from Celerra.
So the Varonis team installed the MMC to enable auditing on the CIFS server. We stop/started the CEPP service with no error.
When I run the pool -info command, I get IP= (address), state = MSRPC ERROR, rpc = MS-RPC over SMB, cava version =, my status = CONNECTION_DISCONNECTED, server name = (server name)
I need help as I’m not sure what else to do to resolve this issue.

Thanks Josh. I’m going to ask my customer to check somethings on their end. Also, I’m getting a negotiation error in the server logs which might be the SMB version. My VG8 is using SMBv2 and has SMBv1 disabled. The Varonis server has SMBv2 enabled but not sure if it needs SMBv1. After the customer check their end, I’m not sure what else to do on the Celerra side to get this working unless it’s on the Varonis side.
