Will emcopy work on any other kind of NAS

emcopy is supposed to work just like robocopy or secure copy (not caring what type source or destination it can go to, as long as it sees both location), so my question is will emcopy work if I am copying the data from Celerra to another NAS (non EMC)?  I am assuming that the answer is yes, but I just need someone to confirm it.
