auditing files on celerra shares
Hi, we have a celerra and would like to audit use of the files located on the shares. In standard windows disk we could turn on auditing. How can i perform a similar task when i am using CIFS shares on a celerra NS20? do i need to purchase an additional product?

you just need to enable it once on the Celerra data mover mmc plugin and then configure the audit ACLs and read the security.evt like you would on a Windows system
there are also 3rd party solutions for auditing that use a different interface (CEPA) available
Varonis has such a product and I think NTP and/or Northern Storage are working on it

you most probably also want to move and enlarge the evt file
