multiple quota trees question

          Hi to all,.

here is my question, i have cifs share and would that any 1st level folder created in this share apply automatically a quota.

for example:

\\hostname\share

                    folder0 (quota 2gb)

                    folder1 (quota 2gb)

                    folder2 (quota 2gb)

                    ..........................

                    ..........................

                    ..........................

                    ..........................

                     etc...etc...

Ideal solution would be "an auto" quota of 2 auto applied to the 1st leve folder inside the share, i know thath this is possible with the fsrm service in windows server,  is possible with celerra or i have to create any single quota manually?

thx

unfortunately that is not possible with Celerra native tools, there are 3-rd party tools that can provide that functionality and more

It's not possible but as a workaround you can precreate folders with quota and then change their names acls or whatever. It's a bit ugly but it works.

That's exactly what we need here.  Celerra NS-120 admin.

EMC product people, are you listening?
