pre allocate control devices

hi friends,

i have a production vg2 with vmax control devices.

Those control devices  devices are not preallocated and the vg2 running without any issue.

Can I pre-allocate it now. I did this for normal production windows/unix servers, just want to know if anyone did it for VG2 control devices.
