Blob dimension

Hi,
My colleagues and I followed the course about Centera (Cas Management). We red on the book:
blob objects < 250 k in size are mirrored
blob objects > 250 k will be protected in parity

We have only the mirrored protection for our Centera, we wish to know if we can save only blob < 250k or also blob > 250k.
can you help me?
thank yuo

When a Centera is sold, the default license that comes with the base configuration is for CPM (Mirrored). In order to use CPP (Parity) the Centera must have a minimum of 7 storage nodes configured and operational. In addition, the CPP license is an upsell (Customer must pay for it...).

Without a CPP license, the Centera can still store files in excess of 250k. All blobs, no matter what the protection scheme is, will be chunked out to a max of 100MB. So lets say that you are storing data files that are 400MB in size, the file write in CPM will store the file as 4 100MB Blobs mirrored for a total of 8 blob fragments and 2 c-clips totally 10 files in all.

Hope this helps.
