Cisco Query

Hi All,

I have few queries related to Cisco

  1. Is core switch and principal switch one and the same ? Can we make core switch as the principal or it should be different switches only ?
  2. On what scenarios Trunking is needed for  a  F port ?
  3. What are the types of port rate modes and what does each type mean ?
