Upgrade Connectrim Manager from 7.01 to 9.7.3

Hi,

We  are planning to upgrade from Connectrix Manager 7.01 with san switches  M6140 & M4500 (F/W 7.01) to a current version of EFCM, say 9.7.3.

The  switches and support of all of this is via EMC, but we are planning to  do the upgrade ourselves.

Is EFCM (Mcdata) and Connectrix Manager (EMC) the  same product and can we use same docos and upgarde path?

If the above  is correct then from what I can see we need to do the following:-

1. Upgrade  EFCM 7.01 -> 7.2

We can keep same version of F/W of san  switches as 7.0.1 is supported by EFCM 7.2.

2. Upgrade EFCM 7.2 -> 9.1

We  can keep same version of F/W  of san switches as 7.0.1 is supported by  EFCM 7.2.

3.  We need to upgrade F/W of switches to goto 9.1 as a minimum before  upgrading to EFCM 9.7.3

4. Upgrade EFCM 9.1 -> 9.7.3

Any help  would be greatly appreciated.
