How long does it take to for my money to be returned after I cancel an order?

I ordered and canceled an item on the same day, I had not even been contacted by the fraud protection department, yet somehow my card was charged and until now (12 days after) The charge to my card has not been cancelled. I would understand if the product had been shipped or if longer time had passed, but this is far too long for an item that had not even gone through their fraud protection.
